Ian's Room

I just got done with Ian's floor a couple hours ago and it is now all put back together. (except for his closet...let's not go there) Here is a before and some after pictures of his room. One wall has a huge wallpaper mural. The other three walls have murals painted by my mom. In the corners of the room there are leaves and vines hanging from the ceiling. And we have the newly finished bamboo floor.

Maddie's room

Here is a before picture of my daughters room and a picture from two days ago. We wallpapered and painted her walls, changed the ceiling fan and curtains and just got done replacing her floor with bamboo. She is very excited about the floor. The navy blue carpet always looked dirty and didn't go very well with her "girly" room. The bedspread and couch I got off of Craigslist. The couch was black when we got it and I reupholstered it in a thick pink corduroy. The dog on her bed and couch are a couple of her large collection of stuffed dogs. She collects dogs because she wants to be a dog when she grows up.

Guest Bath

When we moved into our house the guest bath was a small square box with white walls and a black pedestal sink and toilet. The black fixtures were impossible to keep clean. I can't seem to find a before picture of the room, but here is the after picture. I found the sink on Craigslist for less than half what it normally sells for and the rest of the room fell into place after that.

Basement Ceiling

I decided I should blog about my house projects so I could share them and my progress with my friends and family. Shortly after we moved into our current house we started finishing the unfinished area of our basement. Here is are before and after pictures of it. We used Armstrong aluminum ceiling grid for the ceiling and Ceilume tiles. You can't tell from the picture, but the ceiling tile that has the light in it is the same style as the other tiles, it is just translucent.
